Gigaverse has no official roadmap: updates to the game and our ecosystem are released unexpectedly on a rolling basis. This allows the builders at GLHF to operate with complete agility and to always deliver on what our players want most. \
\
Core game design principles include: (1) keeping it easy to understand and play (we want your uncle Jebediah and your little niece Zelda to enjoy the game), (2) building features that give players the thrill of taking risks (good luck) and earning rewards (have fun), and (3) leveraging the power of nostalgia through top tier pixels and a timeless RPG story you play a central role in. \
\
We look forward to welcoming you to Gigaverse. \

# Overview

The Awakening is a \~2-month event (Monday 10th August - Monday 12th October), set in the current Gigaverse game as you know it.

{% hint style="success" %}
The Awakening will be the most significant in-game event in Gigaverse to date, and the last event within “Gigaverse, the game as you currently know it”.&#x20;

Once The Awakening finishes, there will be a brief period of downtime, before the “new, long term version of Gigaverse” launches:[Gigaverse Online](https://x.com/playgigaverse/status/2083197053958599021).
{% endhint %}

Your goal during The Awakening is simple: Collect as many Cores as you can. To collect Cores you’ll need to:

* Progress in a brand new dungeon & new fishing pond (both have new mechanics & challenges for you to discover, and both use consumables craftable using ROM faction materials)
* Convert resources received from ROMs & Giglings & relic armor
* Complete weekly & daily quests & item turn-in offers

& more. To maximize the number of Cores you receive through gameplay, you'll need to be juiced. Juiced noobs will receive 4x the amount of Cores.

### Progression & gear:

To support your progression in The Awakening, you will be able to level up your skills through your earned experience in the new dungeon & fishing pond, as well as by crafting new gear (rods, lures, charms, head & body gear) using items you can already find in Gigaverse.

Only gear crafted in the The Awakening zone can be used in the new dungeon & new fishing pond.

### More about Cores:

When The Awakening launches, you will enter the forbidden woods for the first time. There you will meet a mysterious new character who tasks you with one very simple objective: **collect as many Cores as you can.**

Cores are an item uniquely available only during The Awakening, and they streamline all your progression and items to date into a single unified goal.

At the end of The Awakening, the number of Cores you’ve collected will inform your rank in The Hall of Noobs.

### The Hall of Noobs:

The Hall of Noobs memorializes & honors top performing players across The Awakening, and beyond.

Your overall rank in the Hall of Noobs will be dictated by your Cores, and there will be separate rankings based upon your medals, and your holdings of key ecosystem assets.

Moving forward, the Hall of Noobs will become the single source of truth for long term player alignment with the Gigaverse ecosystem as a whole.

### Prizes & Rewards:

The Awakening kicks off with a $20,000 USDC starting prize pot. In addition to this starting prize pot, 50% of Giga Juice purchases & 50% of marketplace fees & 50% of vendor sales generated over the course of the event, will be added to the pot.

The final prize pot will be distributed among players who collect a minimum number of Cores by the end of the event, via gacha boxes. These gacha boxes will additionally contain unique cosmetic items.

### Carry-over Items & Account Details:

At the end of The Awakening, every player will receive a rank in the Hall of Noobs, and will be able to carry over the following remaining items from their existing inventories / accounts, in to Gigaverse Online:

* Giga Juice balance
* GIGABIT balance
* Cosmetics / skins (excluding those that drop in the dungeon)
* SBTs / account-bound-items
* Dung & butterflies
* Gigacha coins
* Others: TBD

Carry-over items will get an in-game indicator and be marked as **eternal**.

# FAQ

<details>

<summary>Can I still trade items during The Awakening?</summary>

Yes, the Gigamarket will function as usual with one update: players who aren’t juiced will incur a listing fee in order to list items for sale.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What happens to the rest of my items that don't carry over?</summary>

Items that don’t carry over (and therefore have no use in Gigaverse Online) must be converted to Cores (via the available conversion deals during The Awakening), or used for crafting.&#x20;

Your Core count will then be logged & memorialized in the Hall of Noobs eternally.&#x20;

</details>

<details>

<summary>Will the carry over items have utility in Gigaverse Online?</summary>

Unless it is explicitly stated otherwise, carry over items will only be for cosmetic or prestige purposes only.&#x20;

This is important to allow for a more accessible & scalable design, that ensures there is no “new player wall” (needless to say, new players do not want to play a game they feel disadvantaged in).

</details>

<details>

<summary>What happens to the current version of the game?</summary>

After The Awakening, our current plan is to retire the existing instance of the game (i.e. the existing Gigaverse as you know it), so that we can fully focus on the final development stages of Gigaverse Online.\
\
In this case, all existing progress - including skill levels, findex progress & stats, and any other account details, will persist in the Hall of Noobs forever.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What will happen to eggs / gigling feeding? How will I feed my Giglings / how will Giglings produce dung / butterflies? How will I hatch my remaining eggs? </summary>

We will make updates to the item requirements and sources for key racing-related actions. This will all likely be within the racing loop itself, so that racing works in and of itself as a simpler, independent game.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Will Giglings have additional utility in Gigaverse Online?</summary>

Yes, riding a Gigling will be the fastest & most effective way to traverse the open world.

</details>

<details>

<summary>When will Gigacha coins get utility?</summary>

Gigacha coins are an ‘eternal item’ that will be moved to your inventory in Gigaverse Online.&#x20;

A new gacha design is in the early planning phase and will go live at some point after Gigaverse Online is live.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What will Giga Juice do in Gigaverse Online?</summary>

Giga Juice will continue to offer a premium experience of the game, and be the obvious choice for anyone who regularly plays Gigaverse Online.&#x20;

Its exact utility will be explained closer to launch, and your remaining juiced days will carry over from the existing Gigaverse game to Gigaverse Online.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What will Relic armour do in Gigaverse Online?</summary>

Relic armour will be redesigned to provide an economic benefit rather than a gameplay advantage.&#x20;

More details will be shared closer to the release of Gigaverse Online.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Will Gigaverse Online allow builders to continue making tools for the game?</summary>

As with the first version of Gigaverse, Gigaverse Online is being built to enable 3rd party builders to create useful tools & apps for the community.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Will Gigaverse Online go live immediately after the end of The Awakening?</summary>

There will be a period of downtime between the end of The Awakening event, and the launch of Gigaverse Online. This period will be used to conclude the event, distribute rewards, and ensure Gigaverse Online is ready to launch, with your new account ready to be claimed / linked to your old one. During the downtime, GIGABIT withdrawals will still be possible, and your remaining days of Giga Juice will be paused.

# Abstract XP

<figure><img src="/files/ar23wnQtU49PEq5mE5zv" alt=""><figcaption><p>Abstract Chain</p></figcaption></figure>

Abstract XP is an incentive & engagement system from [Abstract](http://abs.xyz/), the chain Gigaverse is deployed on.

XP can be earned in several ways on Abstract such as using apps, trading, minting, holding, etc.

The exact mechanism is not public and weightage-based allocations are dynamic each week.&#x20;

Within Gigaverse, there are two main ways to earn Abstract XP

* Active: Collect Abstract Stubs by playing the game, collecting items and selling them to the Travelling Merchant
* Passive: Hold [Gigaverse ROMs](/nft-collections/gigaverse-roms) for Abstract XP. Generate even more Abstract Stubs by using [Gigus Dust](https://glhfers.gitbook.io/gigaverse/nft-collections/gigaverse-roms#rom-upgrade) to upgrade your ROM levels.

{% hint style="success" %}
IMPORTANT: Snapshot is taken every **Friday at 12PM UTC**.️ Abstract Stubs are burned & counted towards Abstract XP automatically at the time.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="danger" %}
Abstract Stubs do not roll over into next week.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="danger" %}
Abstract Stubs are not 1:1 Abstract Portal XP.
{% endhint %}

<table data-header-hidden data-full-width="true"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th data-hidden></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td></td><td></td><td></td></tr></tbody></table>

# Abstract Stubs

Abstract Stubs is the points system to calculate an Abstract users weekly Abstract XP share for specific activities in the Gigaverse

Weeks start Friday at 6pm UTC (reset time) and end the following Friday at reset.

Collected Abs Stubs are burned Friday, and applied to the following Tuesday’s Abstract XP drop ([abs.xyz/rewards](https://abs.xyz/rewards))

{% hint style="success" %}
Compete for weekly Abstract XP by collecting Stubs
{% endhint %}

Players can earn Stubs in the following ways

* Trade in items with the Traveling Merchant [Hugis & Munis](/hugis-and-munis); two types of trade deals - Weekly & Daily
* Hold [Gigaverse ROMs](/nft-collections/gigaverse-roms)
* Buy [Giga Juice](/giga-juice/benefits-of-giga-juice) to get 4x more stubs per deal when trading Hugis

{% hint style="warning" %}
There may be more ways to earn Stubs in the future
{% endhint %}

***

### Traveling Merchant [Hugis & Munis](/hugis-and-munis)

The traveling merchant offers Daily & Weekly trade deals, where you can trade in items to receive Abstract Stubs in exchange.

Each deal has a maximum turn in amount.

{% hint style="info" %}
Example: 0/4 means you can do that specific deal 4 times that day or week
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/bMUBkhhxS5uFl6GhwmrU" alt=""><figcaption><p>Traveling Merchant UI</p></figcaption></figure>

### Gigaverse ROMs [Gigaverse ROMs](/nft-collections/gigaverse-roms)

ROM holders passively earn Stubs every week.

They are claimed automatically and will reflect in your Abstract XP&#x20;

{% hint style="danger" %}
Stubs produced by ROMs do not effect/show up in the Stubs Leaderboard
{% endhint %}

ROMs can be upgraded from Level 1-60 to increase passive Stubs generation. Learn more in [Gigaverse ROMs](https://glhfers.gitbook.io/gigaverse/nft-collections/gigaverse-roms)

{% hint style="warning" %}
Must be holding Gigaverse ROM(s) at the time of the weekly snapshot
{% endhint %}

### Giga Juice [How To Buy Giga Juice?](/giga-juice/how-to-buy-giga-juice)

Giga Juice provides benefits to those looking to increase their weekly Abstract Stubs:&#x20;

-Receive 4x stubs for deals you make with Hugis

-More energy and more dungeon runs to earn items + more fishing casts

# GLHFers

<figure><img src="/files/MgKTQ2pky2WHaMjug6w7" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Introduction

GLHFers are the genesis PFP collection of GLHF, the game studio building gigaverse. They are a deflationary ERC-721 NFT collection on Ethereum Mainnet and are regarded as "*THE crypto gaming PFP*" by the community. \
\
The collection launched in January 2024 and minted at a price of 0.0369 ETH per NFT. The mint of GLHFers used a novel approach to WL curation — "[programmatic whitelisting](https://fxtwitter.com/0xDith/status/1745571890385793435?s=20)" via the Adjutant bot, which was also built by GLHF.\
\
The original supply of the collection was 3,690 NFTs, with only 3,154 being available via the general mint, and the final 150 tokens reserved as Special Characters (1/1s) to be slowly auctioned over time by the Auctioneer. Learn more about him here: [Auctioneer](/lore-and-special-characters/auctioneer).

### Inspiration

GLHFers is a nostalgia-infused collection inspired by the golden age of gaming: the 1990s. The collection was created by Gigaverse's lead artist, Bunyoo, who paid homage to the games we know & love from our childhoods through the overall style of the collection and character traits.&#x20;

### Special Characters (1/1s)

The GLHFers collection contains a total of 200 Special Characters (1/1s). Their status as Special Characters is reflected in the collection metadata. \
\
When Special Characters are auctioned by the Auctioneer, they are often done so with some sort of unique auction mechanic, or other utility or benefit that he specifies at the time. \
\
The most recent set of auctions, the Masters of the Gigaverse, function as [Skin Factories](https://x.com/playgigaverse/status/1877320766922043888) within Gigaverse, providing the owners of these NFTs with unique skins dripped out to them on a weekly basis. \
\
In the future, a very select, small number of Special Characters will be obtainable as competition prizes & special rewards for elite accomplishments within Gigaverse. \
\
The long term function of the Special Characters and why they exist has not yet been revealed.&#x20;

### Auctions&#x20;

Auctions are carried out on the GLHFers official website (<https://www.glhfers.com/>) and are always announced in advance. There will never be any surprise mints or auctions for the GLHFers collection. \
\
Auctions are announced by the Auctioneer. In the past, they have run for 24 hours and bids are made in ETH. If a bidder is outbid, their ETH is returned to them immediately. \
\
You can see previous auctions [here](https://discord.com/channels/1176535183579689010/1198938241668235316) and the bids that were made on them [here](https://discord.com/channels/1176535183579689010/1198293026099974234).&#x20;

### Deflationary Mechanic&#x20;

The GLHFers collection is deflationary because the Auctioneer uses funds he raises from auctions to sweep & burn the floor of the collection. To date, he has burned 420 GLHFers from the collection, forever removing them from the supply.&#x20;

# Gigaverse ROMs

**Gigaverse ROMs** **are the key to unlocking the true power of the Gigaverse.** To learn how we think about ROMs and their future role in our ecosystem, [read this article](https://x.com/0xDith/status/1933170212343288293). 🔍

Each ROM functions as a resource factory within the Gigaverse ecosystem and maximizes your long term alignment with Gigaverse.&#x20;

<div data-full-width="true"><figure><img src="/files/BqsoNziPYK1hkAWAq305" alt=""><figcaption><p>Four tiers of Gigaverse ROM</p></figcaption></figure></div>

***

### Initial Utility & Benefits:&#x20;

* Players get more energy to perform more actions
* Generate exclusive resources on an ongoing basis
* Generates [Abstract Stubs](/abstract-eco/abstract-stubs) passively to grant more XP
* Prioritized in future game updates & ecosystem rewards
* Rarity based scaling: Silver, Gold, Void, Giga tiers

{% hint style="info" %}
Gigus, the sentient AI creator of the gigaverse admires the ROMs.
{% endhint %}

***

### Token Specifications:

* Blockchain - Abstract
* Type - ERC-721
* Total Supply - 10,000
* Tiers & Supply - Silver (5800), Gold (3200), Void (850), Giga (150)
* Contract - [0x59EEC556cEf447E13eDf4BfD3D4433d8daD8a7a5](https://abscan.org/token/0x59eec556cef447e13edf4bfd3d4433d8dad8a7a5)

### Traits:

* Tier: Higher rarity tiers produce more resources
* Faction: Determines the faction resources that you can claim. Learn more here -> [Factions](/factions/factions)
* Memory: Larger memory produces more energy that you can claim
* Serial Number: It has not yet been revealed what serial numbers do
* Stub Boost Level: Higher levels generate higher Abstract Stubs passively. Max level is 60.

***

### In-game Resources:

Note: the output ratio of ROMs may be rebalanced in the future, as they have been in the past. &#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/Uz8c0hpmzItM4XtafH46" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

***

### ROM Link & Upgrade:

#### ROM Link

Link ROMs to increase resource production boost by 60% (both energy and materials).

This is stacked with the 20% production boost by [Giga Juice](/giga-juice/benefits-of-giga-juice) resulting in a total of 80% boost.

Only 1:1 ROM linking is possible.

The ROM used to boost another ROM does not produce any resources. Both will still generate Abstract Stubs passively.&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/8LOytd6kWnuDDaurjXFP" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### ROM Upgrades&#x20;

ROMs can be upgraded from level 1 to level 60 to increase the passive Abstract Stubs generation up to 600%.

Gigus Dust is used to upgrade ROMs.&#x20;

The energy produced by the ROMs can be converted into Gigus Dust.

# Gigaverse Giglings

Giglings are the pet collection of Gigaverse.

There will be several types of Giglings over time in Gigaverse.&#x20;

Giglings start as Eggs and go through a hatching process before they can be utilized.

Currently, there are two eggs types - Inaugural Egg & ROM Egg and one steed type - Inaugural Steed\
\
Hatched Giglings can be used in [Gigling Racing](/gigling-racing/gigling-racing-overview) & in the future will be used for Gigling Breeding

### ROM Eggs & Giglings

Eggs were airdropped 1:1 to ROM holders based on ROM tiers (silver, gold, void, giga).

Each ROM egg hatches into an Inaugural Steed and drops a ROMling. ROMlings are currently in skin form, so you can wear them or sell them for now, but will have later utility/use case.&#x20;

Not much is known about what ROMlings will do yet!

# Gigaverse Character Names

Gigaverse has a unique character name system wherein each name is minted as a tradable NFT.

Players can mint one new name when creating a new account.&#x20;

These Name NFTs can be transferred to existing accounts allowing players to change their display name in-game.

# Gigaverse Game Items

**Items can be earned and found throughout Gigaverse.** Some items and pieces of gear cannot be found, and must instead be crafted. See [Crafting Overview](/crafting-and-stations/crafting-overview). Items have different rarities and uses: make sure you read their description to learn about what they can be used for. \
\
It is not known what all items will be used for yet: some hold undisclosed future uses that players will discover in time. Something you think is useless today, may prove very useful tomorrow.&#x20;

* Block: Chance to block by 1%. Reduces damage by half
* Evasion: Chance for evasion by 0.5%. Reduces damage to 0
* Luck: Chance to crit by 0.75%. 2x the damage
* Intuition: Increase chance by 0.5% to 'predict' an enemy move (a red X will appear on the next move that your enemy will not use, if this triggers)

Temporary upgrades for weapon skills may still drop at the end of each battle

{% hint style="warning" %}
Important: Void Skills & Void essence both reset at the start of each Void event

\
These are subject to change with each event. Follow announcements to see each event's format

### Daily Limit

There is currently no daily limit, this may change depending on event structure

# Echo Battles

<figure><img src="/files/bFAr9lpobDnsJjQmYx1C" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Echoes are powerful enemies based on other player's stats.&#x20;

They:

* have a chance to appear in every room with levels close to yours
* have exact hp & mana as the other player in that room
* show other player name, level, faction & vanity skin
* they can drop useful event items during specific competitions

Both Dungetron 5000 and Dungetron Underhaul can spawn echoes.

They will only appear after reaching level 10 in each dungeon.

# Combat Skill Points

In order to progress further in combat, you will need to level up your skills. Collect materials required to level up from the dungeons.&#x20;

There are eight (8) skill types

* **Sword ATK & DEF**&#x20;
* **Shield ATK & DEF**
* **Spell ATK & DEF**&#x20;
* **Max HP**
* **Max AMR**&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/SmGedbVZRa1K8dZgRYdF" alt=""><figcaption><p>Combat Skills</p></figcaption></figure>

There are two primary upgrade systems:&#x20;

<table data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th></th><th data-hidden data-card-cover data-type="files"></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Material: Dungeon Scraps</td><td>Level up skills for Dungetron 5000</td><td>Dropped only in Dungetron 5000: Normal</td><td><a href="/files/ZcXDebRlJb1LkZxDVLEn">/files/ZcXDebRlJb1LkZxDVLEn</a></td></tr><tr><td>Material: Giga Shards</td><td>Level up skills for Dungetron: Underhaul</td><td>Dropped in Dungetron 5000: Normal and Underhaul</td><td><a href="/files/jahjypCVsYUZ2BR94bWw">/files/jahjypCVsYUZ2BR94bWw</a></td></tr></tbody></table>

Notes:

* Scrap & Giga Shards are soulbound (meaning they cannot be sold or transferred).&#x20;
* Giga Shards and Dungeon Scraps are not interchangeable.
* It costs more & more materials to level up your skills as your level increases.
* Scrap can also be used to craft gear. See [Workbench](/crafting-and-stations/workbench) to learn more about crafting gear.
* As you reach higher individual skill levels, it will take more than 1 skill point to upgrade a skill to get the new level’s combat bonus
* Each skill point applied will increase overall combat level by 1, with a max of 100
* You can respec by spending Temporal Hourglasses to return a skill point

{% hint style="danger" %}
Downgrading a skill only returns 75% of the materials spent on that level

# Fishing Overview

<figure><img src="/files/XpsqrXw004X9ICNDwpmy" alt="" width="340"><figcaption><p>Fishing area</p></figcaption></figure>

FIshing is a new game mode in Gigaverse. You play spells (cards) from your deck to hit and catch fish. Every successful catch results in an additional spell added to your deck for the day. \
\
Here's a [community-made video guide](https://x.com/web3_shadowking/status/1934699216301179283) on how fishing works.&#x20;

### Fishing Mechanic

The fishing area is a 3x3 grid. Fish swim to a different cell each turn, after you play a spell card.&#x20;

Spells (cards) have mana costs, hit locations, and damage indicators. Click the card with hit boxes that you predict the fish will travel to on the next turn. Successful “hits” will increase the catch meter, while a “miss” will decrease it. Fill the catch meter to catch a fish.&#x20;

{% hint style="success" %}
Hint: Fish have a variety of different patterns, use the first move to note the pattern.
{% endhint %}

You can also redraw your hand instead of casting a spell, which costs 1 mana per card left in your current hand. If you are out of mana before the catch meter fills, or the catch meter goes to zero, the fish escapes and your cast ends.<br>

<figure><img src="/files/W1bbXLFF99dXGlf4x5h9" alt="" width="363"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Entry Requirement

There are three levels of cast requiring scaling energy:

Small Cast <img src="/files/acUdSB1pffQKZB7lZTeS" alt="" data-size="line"> 12 energy&#x20;

Normal Cast <img src="/files/acUdSB1pffQKZB7lZTeS" alt="" data-size="line"> 16 energy&#x20;

Big Cast <img src="/files/acUdSB1pffQKZB7lZTeS" alt="" data-size="line"> 20 energy&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/USqaLTbfLNf5avWho2fm" alt="" width="302"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Fishing Equipment

You can equip Fishing Rods that provide a set of starting spells depending on the Rod type and rarity.

<figure><img src="/files/bOOELX1tGTawTyG6j3fu" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Rewards

You can catch different types of fish having unique stats and rarities:

:1234: Stats: Weight (WGT), Length (LNG) and Girth (GRT)

<figure><img src="/files/GspR6Ihfra0TrHy8isoB" alt="" width="305"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Fishing Spells

<figure><img src="/files/ezsFxHT848OseIfUTjBj" alt=""><figcaption><p>Spell (card) breakdown</p></figcaption></figure>

Spells (cards) are used to catch fish.

You receive a random deck daily and you can collect more Spells as you successfully catch fish.

Each card has three main elements: Mana, Hit boxes & Hit multiplier

### Mana

Indicates the amount of Mana required to play the card.

### Hit Boxes

Indicate which space you predict the fish will move to next turn &#x20;

<mark style="color:blue;">Blue</mark> indicators are normal hits.

<mark style="color:yellow;">Yellow</mark> indicators are critical hits.

<mark style="color:red;">Red</mark><mark style="color:$info;">/</mark><mark style="color:$info;">Grey</mark> indicators are miss.

### Hit Multipliers

Each number within the bottom boxes indicates the hit amount.&#x20;

The hit and miss square values will increase or decrease the catch meter by that amount depending on where the fish lands.

# Fishing Skill Points

### Skills

In order to master fishing, you will need to level up your skills. Seaweed acquired by selling fish is required to level up.&#x20;

There are eight (8) skill types

* **Stamana:** Increase starting mana&#x20;
* **Rod Control:** Increase chance of critical cast
* **Jebaitor:** Increase chance to not consume bait on cast (extra casts will still take energy)
* **Weed Dealer:** Increase selling value of each fish in the shop
* **Taste:** Increase chance to +1 quality of the fish
* **Luck:** Increase chance to +1 rarity of the fish
* **Fintuition:** Increase chance of revealing next fish move
* **Dual Yielding:** Increase chance of catching 2 fish on 1 cast

### Skill Respec

You can reassign skill points by downgrading.&#x20;

{% hint style="danger" %}

# Fishing Equipment

### Fishing Rods

Fishing Rods are equipment that provide a starting spell deck depending on the type and rarity.

<figure><img src="/files/FkZzs7qnFSSsIaBHykxh" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Types Of Rods

Currently, there are three Rods you can craft&#x20;

* Wood (<mark style="color:$info;">Common</mark>) - Repairable 1 time
* Stone (<mark style="color:green;">Uncommon</mark>) - Repairable 1 time
* Phin's Rod (<mark style="color:purple;">Epic</mark>) - Repairable 2 times

#### Crafting

You can craft Fishing Rods in the [Workbench](/crafting-and-stations/workbench) with the required materials, obtained from Dungeons, Pots or [Gigamarket](/in-game-trading/gigamarket)

<p align="center"><img src="/files/MT1WnKGFHO08PKzAI1RZ" alt=""><img src="/files/DQi6bsa9AHOriFl4n6ft" alt="" data-size="original"></p>

### Lures

Lures are equipment that provide bonuses to fishing skills

Currently, there are two types of lures:

* Pengu Lure: Increases your chance of triggering Dual Yielding upon catching a fish (2x fish)
* Chimpu Lure: Increases your chance of triggering Jebait upon casting and Fintuition upon playing spells

# Fish Findex

### Findex

Records of your fishing career.

Shows how many fish you’ve caught of each type, including higher quality fish of that type

Shows your personal best weight, length, and girth of each fish type caught

Once you catch a fish, it will appear in the Findex along with its unique stats and rarity.

### Quality and Mastery Stars

Each fish has a quality level, starting at 1-Star

Upon catching a 2-Star or higher fish, earn 40-60% bonus seaweed of that fish’s base sell value instantly per star past 1

{% hint style="success" %}
Hint: You can encounter higher quality fish starting at lvl 10 fishing, or by upgrading the Taste skill
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/cgVhlJxRPDNw9N7fsGmf" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

To complete a Mastery Star for a Fish, you need to catch 10 fish of that quality

<figure><img src="/files/JGBow90hqfXb9RaV4u7l" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

For example: Catch ten 1-Star Glub Glubs to get the 1st Glub Glub Mastery Star. For the 2nd Mastery Star, you would need to catch ten 2-Star Glub Glubs.

{% hint style="success" %}
Mastery Stars are currently only for collecting/record purposes

# Gigling Racing Overview

Race your Gigling (a lovable two-legged horse) against other players, onchain, for stakes.

### Play now → [giglingracing.com](https://giglingracing.com)&#x20;

{% hint style="success" %}
You only need a [Gigling NFT](https://opensea.io/collection/gigaverse-giglings) and don't necessarily need a Gigaverse account to jump in.
{% endhint %}

## The Racing Game Loop

* Every Gigling can enter a **Free Race** (only a tx gas fee) or a **Stakes Race** (entry paid in ETH).
* You pay in (if it's a stakes race), your Gigling takes one of the open spots, and the field lines up. Each race can have up to 8 Gigling slots.
* During the race, there's room for mischief: players can use items to boost themselves or sabotage others.
* Each race has its own conditions — distance, weather, and which factions get a boosted stretch of track.
* Racing reveals more about your Gigling: stats and traits are gradually discovered the more you race it.
* Once a Gigling has raced, it goes on **cooldown**. Each Gigling can run up to **2 races per day**, or **3 per day** if you're subscribed to Giga Juice. The daily limit resets every day.
* Reward payouts (in ETH, for stakes races) are split among winners or participants and are configurable by the race's host. For example, a host could decide that ETH only pays out to the top three finishers, with the largest cut going to first (60%), then second (30%), then third (10%).

<figure><img src="/files/nyU4YwEIPkglaZTMmTdI" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="success" %}
Every Gigling you race earns **Derby Stubs**. These determine your **weekly Abstract XP**. Derby Stubs have their own Abstract XP pool, separate from Gigaverse leaderboard stubs.
{% endhint %}

### Giga Juice (subscription)

Giga Juice is an optional subscription that boosts what you can do with racing and race creation:

* Create 50 races a day instead of 5.
* Race each Gigling up to 3 times a day instead of 2.
* Earn increased Derby Stubs (for Abstract XP).
* Get doubled jackpot odds on every stakes race.
* Pay a 1% protocol fee instead of 3% on stakes races.

<figure><img src="/files/R3qnPl4AabYxOlCOOp1R" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## The Giglings

### What makes a gigling?

Every Gigling has its own racing identity, made up of a handful of underlying qualities.

Four race-phase stats that decide how it performs at different parts of a race:

* **Start**: Explosiveness out of the gate.
* **Speed**: Cruising pace through the middle of the race.
* **Stamina**: Endurance - what keeps a Gigling from fading in long races.
* **Finish**: Closing kick in the home stretch.

Plus a handful of non-numeric attributes:

* **Gender**: Male or female, a female is required for breeding.
* **Rarity**: One of six tiers, from Uncommon up to Giga. Drives how many traits a Gigling has and the floor of its stat rolls.&#x20;
* **Faction**: One of eight. Determines which stretches of the track give the Gigling a home-turf boost.
* **Track-condition preference**: Cold, average, or hot.&#x20;
* **Traits**: Special abilities that fire under specific conditions: a vicious start, a hard closing kick, a knack for shrugging off bad weather. Each trait has a ★ , ★ ★ , or ★ ★ ★ star tier that scales how strong it is.

{% hint style="info" %}
Except for a gigling's gender, faction, and rarity, everything else is yours to uncover by watching them race.

Race them, take notes and study their performance over time; discovering what your Gigling is good at is part of the game

Their stats & traits will be revealed gradually as you race them, and fully revealed after they are bred, and their offspring replace them.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

### Gigling rarity

Every Gigling is one of six rarities: Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Relic, or Giga. Rarity matters in two ways.

1. **Base roll:** The higher the rarity, the higher the floor of their roll. At the start of every race, each Gigling’s four core stats are rolled fresh, based on their base stats.
2. **Amount of traits**: Rarer Giglings come with more traits: abilities like a strong start out of the gate, a hard closing kick, or a knack for shrugging off bad conditions.&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/KZKz194fJazCfFQqwcnx" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Gigling career & lifespan

Every Gigling has a finite number of races in it.&#x20;

Once they’re spent, they retire and can’t race again.&#x20;

Every race teaches you a little more about their hidden qualities, and by the back half of their career you’ll have learned where they shine and can start picking races to match their strengths.

When a Gigling retires (or, before this time comes), the path forward is to breed them.

The offspring inherits qualities from both parents and steps into the retired parent’s place in your stable.

### Gigling Breeding

Breeding takes one male Gigling and one female. Mechanically, breeding is being designed to keep the overall population of Giglings flat.

Females are rare compared to males, and present an opportunity to their owners depending how they choose to use them.

{% hint style="info" %}
Gigling Dueling uses a related but separate inheritance system, and is available once a Gigling has raced 40 times. See [Gigling Dueling Overview](/gigling-racing/gigling-dueling-overview).
{% endhint %}

## The Race & Track

There are several configurations for a race.

* Entry fee
* Prize split
* No. of players
* Items
* Track distance
* Weather
* Factions (only affect odds; not set parameter)&#x20;

### Fees, split and players

Fees only apply to stakes races — free races have no entry fee to split.

Entry ETH for a stakes race is split four ways:

| Share     | Goes to                                                                  |
| --------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| 85% – 95% | Prize pot, paid out to winners as configured by the host |
| 1% – 3%   | Protocol fee (1% for Giga Juice subscribers, 3% otherwise)               |
| 1% – 10%  | Creator fee, all of which goes to the race's creator/host, as configured |
| 2.5% | Jackpot funding, added to the global jackpot pool |

Race creators can also set how the prize pot is split among winners — for example, the top three finishers could take 60%, 30%, and 10% of the pot, respectively.

{% hint style="info" %}
Hosts or sponsors can add external rewards on top of the prize pot — prize boosting isn't limited to the entry-fee split above.
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/Flq469esTUCNDZ90oCZM" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### The Jackpot

The 1st-place finisher of any stakes race has a chance to win **40% of the current jackpot**. Winning odds scale with the entry ETH and number of players in the race — they range from about 0.005% up to 2%, capped at a 0.1 ETH entry. Giga Juice subscribers get double the jackpot odds.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Figures above are as of launch (beta week) and subject to change.
{% endhint %}

### Use of items

Dung could be used to sabotage (slow down) rivals and butterflies could be used to boost (speed up) your own Gigling.&#x20;

### Track distance

Every race is set to one of four distances by its creator: 500m, 1200m, 2500m, or 3000m. Make sure you select the right Gigling for the race distance, as each Gigling will have its own preferences, based on its stats and traits.

### Weather / Track conditions

Each race rolls one of three track conditions: cold, average, or hot. Each Gigling has a condition they prefer. Match their preference and they’ll pick up a small speed bonus.

### Factions and the track

There are eight factions, and every Gigling either belongs to one, or runs factionless.

The track is split into stretches blessed by different factions roughly every 100 meters; when a Gigling runs through a stretch matching its own faction, it gets a little boost.

<figure><img src="/files/f6yFN15nJQ60Pj3o08Sq" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Some factions may show up more often than others in a particular race.

Overall, Gigus faction will appear most often (praise be to Gigus).

The mix of faction stretches is unveiled at the start of the race. More track-level dynamics may come into play down the line.

#### Creating a race

Anyone can join a race with just a Gigling, but **creating** a race requires a Gigaverse.io game account.

When you create a race, you configure:

| Setting             | Options                        |
| ------------------- | ------------------------------ |
| No. of players      | 2 – 8                          |
| Entry cost | Free or ETH |
| Track distance      | 500m – 3000m                   |
| Payout distribution | Variable, set by you |
| Creator fee         | 1% – 10%                       |
| Join criteria | Public, allowlist, ELO, etc. |
| Seed prizepool      | ETH                            |
| Creation limit      | 5 races/day (50/day if Juiced) |

<figure><img src="/files/WfItEWnSjfOjjlLfPkqB" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Onchain, by design

Every race plays out onchain, and many actions generate transactions. Every race is resolved by our custom Race Oracle and results are submitted onchain.&#x20;

{% hint style="success" %}
The Abstract XP attributed to individual players is driven by their Derby Stubs, which are mostly influenced by the number of races and stakes they participate in each week.
{% endhint %}

## Getting your first Gigling

Giglings are ERC-721s on Abstract and can be bought on OpenSea:

<https://opensea.io/collection/gigaverse-giglings>

Unhatched Giglings (still in egg form) must be hatched within Gigaverse. Check [Gigling Egg Hatchery](/gigling-racing/gigling-egg-hatchery)for more details.

# Gigling Dueling Overview

Dueling is the way to breed new giglings

## Gigling Dueling Overview

Duel your Gigling against another player's gigling or run a private duel against yourself to retire the loser and bring a new Duelborn into your stable.

#### Play now → [giglingracing.com](https://giglingracing.com/)

{% hint style="danger" %}
Dueling is a one-way street for the losing Gigling: whichever Gigling loses a duel is permanently burned. Only duel a Gigling you're prepared to lose.
{% endhint %}

### Unlocking dueling

A Gigling has to prove itself before it's allowed to duel. Race it, in any type of race, until it reaches **40 total races**, and dueling unlocks for that Gigling.

Once unlocked, you can either **list** it on the Dueling Grounds for others to challenge, or **challenge** another player's listed Gigling yourself.

<figure><img src="/files/G7IfiMHbnEhXJULoElbq" alt=""><figcaption><p>Parent Gigling → 40+ races → List or Challenge → Dueling Grounds → New Gigling</p></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="success" %}
Dueling always needs one male and one female Gigling. Same-gender pairs can't duel each other.
{% endhint %}

### The Dueling Marketplace

There are two ways to duel.

#### 1. Open / Challenger duels

This is the public marketplace, hosted on the **Dueling Grounds**.

* **Host a Gigling**: List your Gigling for dueling and set two things — a **duel price** (what a challenger pays to duel you) and a **Host Favour** percentage, which skews win odds in your favor. 0% Host Favour mean host dies; 100% means challenger dies.
* **Challenge a Gigling**: Browse listed Giglings on the Grounds and challenge one to a duel.
* Whoever loses the duel is burned. The challenger always receives the **Duelborn**.

<figure><img src="/files/J0thqP8znaZClYfn691d" alt=""><figcaption><p>Host Gigling + Challenger Gigling duel on the Grounds; the loser is burned and the winner's side remain and challenger receives the Duelborn.</p></figcaption></figure>

#### 2. Closed / Self duels

Run a private duel between two Giglings you already own. This lets you choose exactly which of your own Giglings falls — and you receive the Duelborn either way.

### Duel limits & the Gigling Glue Factory

Every Gigling can duel up to **3 times** in its lifetime. The third duel is final: the Gigling is guaranteed to fall (100%) and its Duelborn arrives.

Want more duels out of a Gigling before that happens? Permanently burning other Giglings produces **Glue**, which can be spent to raise a Gigling's duel limit — up to 3 additional times.

* Faction Giglings, when burned, yield both **Faction Glue** and **Normal Glue**. Non-faction Giglings yield Normal Glue only.
* Raising the duel limit on a Faction Gigling costs both Faction Glue and Normal Glue; non-faction Giglings only need Normal Glue.

| Rarity    | Deglue yield | Reglue cost |
| --------- | ------------ | ----------- |
| Uncommon  | 4            | 4           |
| Rare      | 8            | 4           |
| Epic      | 12           | 6           |
| Legendary | 24           | 6           |
| Relic     | 32           | 8           |
| Giga      | 40           | 8           |

{% hint style="info" %}
"Deglue yield" is how much Glue you get from permanently burning a Gigling of that rarity. "Reglue cost" is how much Glue it takes to add one extra duel to a Gigling's limit.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="danger" %}
Deglue results in permanent burning of the gigling nft.
{% endhint %}

### Attribute inheritance

When a Gigling falls in a duel, its Duelborn inherits five attributes from the two parents: **Faction, Gender, Rarity, Stats,** and **Traits**.

{% hint style="info" %}
For what each of these attributes actually does on the track, see [Gigling Racing Overview](https://claude.ai/gigling-racing/gigling-racing-overview.md).&#x20;
{% endhint %}

#### Gender inheritance

The gender of the **fallen** parent passes to the newborn: a male that falls produces a male Duelborn; a female that falls produces a female Duelborn.

#### Faction inheritance

Faction is decided by a 100-point system that both parents contribute to. Whatever's left unclaimed makes the Duelborn factionless.

| Contribution        | Points      |
| ------------------- | ----------- |
| Natural-born parent | 35          |
| Converted parent    | 15          |
| Faction dust        | +5          |
| Unclaimed           | Factionless |

Gigus is a special case: the only way to get a Gigus Duelborn is for the **Gigus parent to be the one that falls**. A Gigus parent that survives the duel doesn't pass on any Gigus points at all — instead, those points get added to the other parent's faction.

A few example outcomes:

| Parent composition             | Faction A | Faction B | Factionless |
| ------------------------------ | --------- | --------- | ----------- |
| Same faction, both natural     | 70%       | –         | 30%         |
| Two factions, both natural     | 35%       | 35%       | 30%         |
| Same faction, natural + 2 dust | 80%       | –         | 20%         |

#### Rarity inheritance

Rarity centers on the **lower-rarity parent** — two parents of the same rarity almost always hold the line.

| Parents               | Uncommon | Rare | Epic | Legendary | Relic | Giga |
| --------------------- | -------- | ---- | ---- | --------- | ----- | ---- |
| Uncommon × Uncommon   | 97%      | 3%   | –    | –         | –     | –    |
| Uncommon × Rare       | 88%      | 12%  | –    | –         | –     | –    |
| Uncommon × Epic       | 75%      | 18%  | 7%   | –         | –     | –    |
| Uncommon × Legendary  | 69%      | 23%  | 9%   | –         | –     | –    |
| Uncommon × Relic      | 62%      | 27%  | 11%  | –         | –     | –    |
| Uncommon × Giga       | 57%      | 30%  | 13%  | –         | –     | –    |
| Rare × Rare           | 4%       | 93%  | 3%   | –         | –     | –    |
| Rare × Epic           | 4%       | 86%  | 10%  | –         | –     | –    |
| Rare × Legendary      | 3%       | 76%  | 15%  | 6%        | –     | –    |

| Legendary × Legendary | –        | –    | 4%   | 94%       | 2%    | –    |
| Legendary × Relic     | –        | –    | 4%   | 89%       | 7%    | –    |
| Legendary × Giga      | –        | –    | 4%   | 82%       | 10%   | 4%   |
| Relic × Relic         | –        | –    | –    | 4%        | 95%   | 1%   |
| Relic × Giga          | –        | –    | –    | 4%        | 91%   | 5%   |
| Giga × Giga           | –        | –    | –    | –         | –     | 100% |

#### Stats inheritance

All four race-phase stats — Start, Speed, Stamina, and Finish — are rolled individually for the Duelborn, each based on the two parents' own ranges for that stat.

The closer the parents' ranges sit to each other, the more predictable the Duelborn's roll. A wide gap between parents produces a wider, less predictable spread; a narrow gap clusters outcomes tightly around the middle.

#### Traits inheritance

Duelborn traits come out of four rolls, in order:

1. **Rarity of the Duelborn** sets the maximum number of traits it can have:

   | Rarity    | Max traits |
   | --------- | ---------- |
   | Uncommon  | 1          |
   | Rare      | 2          |
   | Epic      | 3          |
   | Legendary | 4          |
   | Relic     | 5          |
   | Giga      | 6          |
2. **Mutation / condition roll** decides whether the Duelborn gets a trait outside the normal pool. There's a **10% chance to mutate**, which grants a Gen Mutation trait. Separately, if a duel condition is met, the Duelborn gets a Conditional trait instead.
3. **Parent trait roll** fills slots based on the star tier of each parent's own traits. The percentages below are blended ranges, not exact odds for any single duel:

   | Male × Female | ★   | ★★  | ★★★ |
   | ------------- | --- | --- | --- |
   | ★ × ★★        | 67% | 27% | 7%  |
   | ★ × ★★★       | 34% | 51% | 15% |
   | ★ × ★★★★      | 21% | 29% | 50% |
   | ★★ × ★★       | 24% | 59% | 18% |
   | ★★ × ★★★★     | 16% | 40% | 43% |
   | ★★★ × ★★★★    | 12% | 29% | 59% |
4. **Fill roll** covers any slots still open after the parent roll: ★ 67%, ★★ 27%, ★★★ 7%.

### Gigling traits reference

Base trait pool (Tier 1–3, scaling by star rating): **Clutch, Fast Start, Surger, Closer, Comeback, Steady, Volatile, Faction Heart.**

Gen Mutation traits (from the mutation roll): **Dunglover, Sticky Wings.**

Duel Conditional traits (from meeting a duel condition): **Gigus Blessing, First Born.**

# Gigling Egg Hatchery

The Hatchery Station (speak to "Vilhelm Hatchard" pictured below) is where players hatch and feed their [Gigaverse Giglings](/nft-collections/gigaverse-giglings) Eggs & Pets, as well as cook food from fish they've caught.

<figure><img src="/files/eRRMgJ9rZ6tCmJy1sRB5" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Where it is

The Hatchery can be found in the underground room beside the fishing pond.

<figure><img src="/files/ltvcoTC4a9YwM9AgY2wq" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### What it does

-Hatch your gigling eggs through a resource and time-intensive process (or use an 'eggspeditor' to speed it up)\
-Cook Fish caught in the Fishing Mode into Food (can be fed to giglings, tradeable)\
-Feed your giglings to produce different resources, based on the gigling traits

### Hatching Process

Egg hatching is a delicate process and to achieve the best possible outcome (a high-quality hatch at the fastest speed), you'll need to maximize the temperature AND the comfort of each egg.

<figure><img src="/files/y2af5B7bW7oHUPwOBUWR" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Multiple eggs can be hatched at once, but make sure you have enough materials to sustain their comfort and temperature all throughout the hatching process!

Feeding eggs with different faction resources influences the faction that the gigling will belong to, when hatched.&#x20;

### Resource Requirements

Hatching an egg requires hatching materials and faction dust (optional).

Two types of hatching materials - Biofuels and Incube. All of the materials are soul-bound to the player.

They can be acquired by trading base materials that can be found in the dungeon.

<figure><img src="/files/Gj4SkdPbet7QtMtstUM9" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Fate: Faction Specific Resource Requirements

Faction dust can be added to the hatching process to give Giglings a chance of having a certain faction when they hatch

Giglings don't naturally have a faction. You must add faction dust (example: Crusader dust) to influence the 'Fate' of a gigling before hatching, otherwise, your gigling will hatch factionless

Each "influence" of faction dust increases the fate % of hatching as that faction by +4.75% and +0.25% Gigus Faction. Giglings only get 1 faction upon hatching, and it cannot be changed currently

Multiple can be used, up to 20 influences (at 20/20 fate, you will have a 100% chance of getting a gigling with a faction trait)

If you don't have 20/20 fate, there is a chance your gigling will hatch with "Faction: None" trait

Starting cost to influence is 5 Faction Dust. If you use the same Faction Dust, it will cost 1 more dust per influence

{% hint style="info" %}
Hint: Use Faction Dust from multiple factions to save dust!
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/ldkA7e7NwphWOcENda94" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Progress (Temperature) AND Quality (Comfort)

Progress is directly influenced by the Temperature while Quality is influenced by both Comfort and Progress.

Check the following matrix to understand the relation between the factors.&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/d9VK5fAnP1G3pRWOznng" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Cooking Food

Fish caught in the Fishing Game Mode can be cooked into 'Food'&#x20;

Rarer Food = Chances for better effects upon feeding giglings\
\
![](/files/De9fehq1SmOWSmV9gUX2)

Current Food (new food types may be possible in the future)

* Void Seeds: From Dungetron 5000 Normal Mode (purchasable on marketplace)
* Chum: Cook 3 'common' fish for 1 chum
* Fish Fillet: Cook 2 'uncommon' fish for 1 fish fillet
* Uramaki: Cook 1 'rare' fish for 1 uramaki

### Feeding Giglings

Select and feed your giglings cooked food at the "Pets" tab in the Hatchery

<figure><img src="/files/hI471IwIP6ffrimzBa8X" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Outputs

* Male giglings produce 'Dung'
* Female giglings produce 'Butterflies'
* Giglings with a 'Faction' trait have a chance at producing the faction version of the base resource they produce.
* Example: a gigling with the traits- Gender(Female) & Faction(Athena) can produce butterflies and have a smaller chance of producing an 'Athena Butterfly'
* The Rarity trait (Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Relic, Giga) influences the % chance of receiving a Faction Material when feeding a gigling with a Faction Trait.&#x20;
* The higher the rarity (1-6 in OpenSea filters for hatched, faction giglings only, not unhatched or 'none' faction giglings) the higher the chances of receiving faction materials.
* Rarity also effects the quantity of output per feed, with highest quantities being relic and giga tier (3x output rolls)

### Hunger

Feeding your gigling reduces its hunger by 1

Giglings regain 1 hunger every 3 days

Some food has a chance of restoring hunger upon feeding

<figure><img src="/files/2gMM4LqozUGtBxZcvPMU" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
At 8/8 hunger your gigling will not grow hungrier. There is no current death mechanic if left unfed
{% endhint %}

# Crafting Overview

To progress further in Gigaverse and perform a variety of actions in game, you will need to craft items (or purchase crafted items from other players on the [Gigamarket](https://glhfers.gitbook.io/gigaverse/in-game-trading/gigamarket)). \
\
Crafting takes place at designated crafting stations. It requires materials/items and energy.&#x20;

At present, there are two crafting stations in the game, the Alchemy Bench and the Workbench. You can equip crafted gear at the Gear Station.

<table data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th data-hidden data-card-cover data-type="files"></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><a data-mention href="/pages/Ai8lWHVZz1OXOiiXa9B6">/pages/Ai8lWHVZz1OXOiiXa9B6</a></td><td>This is where <a data-mention href="/pages/z11dtS7qpKvAohDmnD6h">/pages/z11dtS7qpKvAohDmnD6h</a> can be crafted</td><td><a href="/files/fTXRV3I4NxLIUWAbZdcs">/files/fTXRV3I4NxLIUWAbZdcs</a></td></tr><tr><td><a data-mention href="/pages/gOtn5zfgcKX5VVzLhg4K">/pages/gOtn5zfgcKX5VVzLhg4K</a></td><td>This is where <a data-mention href="/pages/G5t9Fboymbw9Y9fQoS9l">/pages/G5t9Fboymbw9Y9fQoS9l</a> can be crafted</td><td><a href="/files/jbRLjQa00zrOV2kgQbeP">/files/jbRLjQa00zrOV2kgQbeP</a></td></tr><tr><td><a data-mention href="/pages/Tu8hgprbxd0haTEc6nnT">/pages/Tu8hgprbxd0haTEc6nnT</a></td><td>This where were Gear can be equiped and repaired</td><td><a href="/files/htSVCLsTCP3cJAYiUL9s">/files/htSVCLsTCP3cJAYiUL9s</a></td></tr></tbody></table>

### ![](/files/15p4hcINimdmyQLRFBRk) Alchemy XP

The more consumables you craft, the more Alchemy XP you receive. Alchemy XP is soulbound (cannot be transferred) and plays an important future role in your crafting progression & proficiency. &#x20;

{% hint style="success" %}
More crafting stations will be added to the game over time, as well as more crafts.
{% endhint %}

<table data-header-hidden data-full-width="true"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th data-hidden></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td></td><td></td><td></td></tr></tbody></table>

# Alchemy Bench

<figure><img src="/files/fTXRV3I4NxLIUWAbZdcs" alt=""><figcaption><p>Alchemy Bench</p></figcaption></figure>

### Where it is

The alchemy bench can be found in the north of the lobby, close to the [Dungetron](https://glhfers.gitbook.io/gigaverse/combat/dungetron-overview) entrance

### What it does

The Alchemy Bench allows you to create consumables to take into combat with you

{% hint style="danger" %}
Warning: You lose your consumables upon death or use.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="success" %}
Hint: If you wish to flee the dungeon with your remaining consumables, click the ladder after defeating a boss, before selecting your next upgrade.
{% endhint %}

### How to Use

Equip consumables in your “Dungeon Bag” in the Dungeon lobby before entering combat

<figure><img src="/files/mPrNoPDH6i8SvCQOMqSH" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="danger" %}
Warning: Your dungeon bag will automatically refill with available consumables of the type selected until you run out. Make sure to deselect consumables before entering a dungeon if you don’t want to lose them
{% endhint %}

### Resource Requirements

Each consumable requires different resources (ingredients) to craft. The requirements are displayed when clicking a consumable at the Alchemy Bench. Larger consumables require more resources to craft.

### Faction Specific Resource Requirements

Crafting consumables requires faction specific resources. For example, crafting boom juices requires one faction type of dust or shards, whereas crafting armor juices requires a different faction type of dust or shards.

### Success Rate

Crafting consumables has a 70% chance of success. This means, during each crafting attempt you have a 70% chance of successfully creating the consumable, and a 30% chance that the craft will fail and you will lose your ingredients.

<table data-header-hidden data-full-width="true"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th data-hidden></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td></td><td></td><td></td></tr></tbody></table>

# Consumables

Consumables are one-time use potions that can be used in combat to help you progress further in the dungeon. They can be crafted at the Alchemy Bench, or purchased on the gigamarket. \
\
Consumables require faction-specific ingredients that are only produced by ROMs with those faction traits. So if you wish to craft all the various different consumables, it is beneficial to hold ROMs of each different faction type.&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/PFpjYpqgacJjgoMfejJ7" alt=""><figcaption><p>Alchemy Bench UI</p></figcaption></figure>

### How does your faction affect recipe requirements?

Depending on the faction you chose when you entered Gigaverse ([Factions](/factions/factions)) you will have different material requirements for crafting consumables. This is by design.

<div data-full-width="true"><figure><img src="/files/jAXR6iPiV7Ez5o7uIjWz" alt=""><figcaption><p>Faction Recipes</p></figcaption></figure></div>

<table data-header-hidden data-full-width="true"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th data-hidden></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td></td><td></td><td></td></tr></tbody></table>

# Workbench

<figure><img src="/files/jbRLjQa00zrOV2kgQbeP" alt=""><figcaption><p>Workbench</p></figcaption></figure>

### Where it is

The Workbench can be found in the middle of the map

### What it does

The Workbench allows you to craft [Gear](https://glhfers.gitbook.io/gigaverse/crafting-and-stations/workbench/gear).&#x20;

Gear fills a variety of roles in the gigaverse.

### Resource Requirements

Each piece of gear requires different resources.

### XP Requirements

Some starter gear requires Alchemy XP to craft (earned by crafting Consumables at the Alchemy Bench)

Mid-tier and High-tier gear requires Workbench XP to craft (earned by crafting Charms, Mid-tier Gear, and High-Tier Gear)

{% hint style="success" %}
Hint: You can see the Workbench or Alchemy XP reward per craft on the middle right, while the XP cost to craft will be under the ingredients cost
{% endhint %}

### Faction Specific Resource Requirements

Most gear does not require faction specific resources to craft. If it does, you will see this under the list of required ingredients.&#x20;

### Success Rate

Crafting gear currently has a 100% chance of success. Future gear crafts may have a chance of failure.

<table data-header-hidden data-full-width="true"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th data-hidden></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td></td><td></td><td></td></tr></tbody></table>

# Gear

<figure><img src="/files/lWAo3SR5WZtMYir4KbFs" alt="" width="300"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Gear is a system of equipment.

There are many types of Gear (Head, Body, Charms, Hands, Lures, Rods)

Vanity skins can be crafted into Gear at the [Workbench](/crafting-and-stations/workbench), and equipped at the [Gear Station](/crafting-and-stations/gear-station).&#x20;

Each piece of Gear plays a different role and provides different utility. Head skins & body skins can be turned in to head gear & body gear which has stat points, giving you an advantage in combat.&#x20;

{% hint style="danger" %}
Gear cannot be traded once crafted, only vanity (cosmetic skins) can
{% endhint %}

### Rarity

Gear exists in different levels. Higher rarity gear has increased stat points and/or more durability.

Upon Crafting and Restoring Gear, you have a % chance of rolling common, uncommon, rare, or epic gear:

<img src="/files/ZBdlc6CAJcInR3bVnvKY" alt="" data-size="line"> (50%) Common&#x20;

<img src="/files/IDgZsiipYhep1C1A3Qr8" alt="" data-size="line"> (30%) Uncommon&#x20;

<img src="/files/RE30XCjkei0yF6jpIby2" alt="" data-size="line"> (15%) Rare&#x20;

<img src="/files/WWgnOFqaPULCp0AhEc4A" alt="" data-size="line"> (5%) Epic&#x20;

You can preview the stats of each rarity tier in the [Workbench](/crafting-and-stations/workbench)by clicking on a piece of gear and clicking the rarity circle with the percentages next to it.

### Durability

Gear degrades with use, until it breaks. Once broken, its stats / utility no longer work. It must be repaired using resources to restore it to its full capability.

### Repairs

You can repair gear at the [Gear Station](/crafting-and-stations/gear-station) for a cost.

{% hint style="info" %}
To find the cost, go to the Gear Station, select a piece of gear, and above the “Repair” button you will see the cost.
{% endhint %}

\
Repair Limit: Each piece of Gear has a repair limit.

Example: Head and Body gear can be repaired 5 times, you will see a 0/5 upon first craft, moving up by 1 with each repair.

Once a repair limit is reached, the gear will no longer function and/or give stats.

### Restoration

Some Gear, like Head & Body Gear, can be “Restored” with Gear Ember.

Restoring Gear resets the repair limit to 0 so you can repair it again.

Restoring Gear also re-rolls the rarity of that Gear.

{% hint style="danger" %}
[Charms](https://glhfers.gitbook.io/gigaverse/crafting-and-stations/workbench/charm), [Hands](https://glhfers.gitbook.io/gigaverse/world-environment/pots), [Lures](https://glhfers.gitbook.io/gigaverse/fishing/fishing-equipment), and [Rods](https://glhfers.gitbook.io/gigaverse/fishing/fishing-equipment) cannot be restored, only repaired to a max limit
{% endhint %}

#### Gear Ember

Gear Ember used in Restoration comes from burning Head and Body Gear at the [Gear Station](/crafting-and-stations/gear-station). <br>

The more advanced gear, typically from deeper levels of the dungeon, will cost more Gear Ember to restore, but grant more Gear Ember when burned.

<table data-header-hidden data-full-width="true"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th data-hidden></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td></td><td></td><td></td></tr></tbody></table>

# Charms

<figure><img src="/files/N5cqrhxiyOcG7FjmvkuM" alt="" width="300"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Charms can be crafted at the [Workbench](/crafting-and-stations/workbench), and equipped at the [Gear Station](/crafting-and-stations/gear-station).&#x20;

Charms have different roles and bonuses. Orbs & Necklaces can be crafted into Charms which have special effects, giving you an advantage in combat.

### Rarity

Higher rarity Charms have better durability and may have stronger effects

Charms get a random rarity upon craft, based on the odds below:

<img src="/files/ZBdlc6CAJcInR3bVnvKY" alt="" data-size="line"> (50%) Common&#x20;

<img src="/files/IDgZsiipYhep1C1A3Qr8" alt="" data-size="line"> (30%) Uncommon&#x20;

<img src="/files/RE30XCjkei0yF6jpIby2" alt="" data-size="line"> (15%) Rare&#x20;

<img src="/files/WWgnOFqaPULCp0AhEc4A" alt="" data-size="line"> (5%) Epic&#x20;

### Durability

Charms degrade with each Dungetron run until their durability is 0. Once broken, charm effects no longer work. They must be repaired using resources at the Gear Station to begin functioning again.

### Repairs

You can repair Charms at the [Gear Station](/crafting-and-stations/gear-station) for a cost.&#x20;

{% hint style="danger" %}
WARNING: Current Charms can only be repaired two times before permanently breaking. They cannot be restored like head & body gear.
{% endhint %}

<table data-header-hidden data-full-width="true"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th data-hidden></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td></td><td></td><td></td></tr></tbody></table>

# Gear Station

<figure><img src="/files/htSVCLsTCP3cJAYiUL9s" alt=""><figcaption><p>Gear Station</p></figcaption></figure>

### Where it is

The Gear Station can be found beside the stairway to the Dungetron.

### What it does

**Equip Gear**: Players can equip gear they've crafted at the [Workbench](/crafting-and-stations/workbench).

**Repair Gear**: Players can restore gear durability. After all repairs are used, an additional cost will be required to reset repairs.

<figure><img src="/files/KIFe6jgY8dkEE0fbUesm" alt=""><figcaption><p>Gear Station UI</p></figcaption></figure>

Note: it is possible to equip both gear (which has stats) and skins (for vanity purposes). If no skins are equipped, your character's look will be based off the gear that is equipped. If you equip skins, the look of the skins will override the look of the gear.&#x20;

<table data-header-hidden data-full-width="true"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th data-hidden></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td></td><td></td><td></td></tr></tbody></table>

# Conquest Overview

<figure><img src="/files/zAXtr3ejO0I4zJ2BLxiV" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Conquest is a social, team based pvp game mode.\
\
Conquest's map, event structure, and game mechanics can change from one Conquest to the next

### Objective

Coordinate with your Faction to capture & hold as much territory as you can within the Conquest map

### Requirement

Players need Faction Stubs to play Conquest.&#x20;

These are dropped by [Echo Battles](/combat/echo-battles) and by catching Fish. There may be more ways to get Faction Stubs in the future.

Each Echo drops both player and Echo Faction Stubs, once defeated.

<figure><img src="/files/SqACNYCnOHzrlHiL2Djh" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Gameplay

1. Use your own Faction Stubs to increase your control of a territory
2. Use opposing Faction Stubs to decrease their control of a territory

{% hint style="warning" %}
Faction Stubs are burned when used; be strategic.
{% endhint %}

### Crowns

Crowns are conquest rewards based on both individual contribution within a faction and the faction's performance relative to others

* Calculated as follows:
  * Crowns = Individual Contribution X Faction Rank
  * Contribution = Player Stub Score / Total Faction Stub Score
  * Faction Rank = 100x (last place) up to 700x (first place)
* Stub score is the stubs you place on the map
* Stub score starts at 0 for each faction as you switch. If you switch back, it picks up from where you left off.
* Crown Leaderboard shows both global rank & faction rank (similar to abstract stubs leaderboard system)
* Ranks can be seen in real-time (immediate past round)

<figure><img src="/files/Oki5KOEqDiUtnbPzkHRT" alt=""><figcaption><p>Crowns Leaderboard</p></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="danger" %}
When Conquest ends, only your contributions to your current faction will count

# Gigamarket

<figure><img src="/files/AqEHpcDBtuafzYqf2YVc" alt=""><figcaption><p>Gigamarket</p></figcaption></figure>

The gigamarket is an integrated onchain marketplace / order book to allow for easy item trading between players in gigaverse. Within its first two weeks, gigamarket saw 250,000+ items traded.

It is in essence a one-stop shop to trade all your [Gigaverse Game Items](/nft-collections/gigaverse-game-items).&#x20;

Features:&#x20;

* Gamer friendly & familiar UI
* Filter based on the type of item - Material, Consumable, Skin or Collectible
* Realtime ETH <> USD value indicator&#x20;
* Bulk buy or list&#x20;
* List at floor price
* Abstract Global Wallet session system for ease of trades

{% hint style="success" %}
[Gigus Maximus](/lore-and-special-characters/gigus-maximus) monitors your trading behaviour on gigamarket.
{% endhint %}

<div data-full-width="true"><figure><img src="/files/IPbxUyvLYCmbKqyAAQdA" alt=""><figcaption><p>UI of gigamarket in game</p></figcaption></figure></div>

When using the gigamarket, be aware:

* It may take some time for items you've purchased to arrive in your inventory.

{% hint style="success" %}
Hint: Use the Refresh button in your Inventory after any purchases.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="danger" %}
Warning: If your items disappear after refreshing, wait some time, and hit the refresh inventory button again until you see them.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

* Items may appear to arrive before they actually do since the front-end sometimes processes sales faster than the gigamarket listings are processed.
* If you are trying to make a purchase and see a transaction error in your Abstract Global Wallet, it's likely someone just purchased the item before you were able to complete your transaction. In this case, open and close the gigamarket tab. If you still get an error, refresh your browser and try again.

These factions relate to the 7 Masters of the Gigaverse (Special Characters in the [GLHFers](/nft-collections/glhfers)collection), and to Gigus, the sentient AI creator of Gigaverse.

<figure><img src="/files/qiIJX5D77xM0ej0DBMf2" alt=""><figcaption><p>Archon, Athena, Chobo, Crusader, Foxglove, Overseer, and Summoner</p></figcaption></figure>

When starting the game, align with one of the factions belonging to the 7 “Masters of the Gigaverse”.&#x20;

Your choice may impact certain aspects of the game, such as the resources you require to craft [consumables](https://glhfers.gitbook.io/gigaverse/crafting-and-stations/alchemy-bench/consumables) or which [Faction Leaderboard](https://glhfers.gitbook.io/gigaverse/in-game-trading/traveling-merchants) you are competing on

You can change your in-game faction via [Faction Altar Room](https://glhfers.gitbook.io/gigaverse/factions/faction-altar-room) using in-game materials.&#x20;

More details about factions and their role within the future of Gigaverse shall be revealed over time.

# Faction Altar Room

In the faction altar room, players can switch their in-game character factions for a cost.

{% hint style="info" %}
Learn more about the Faction lore on the [Factions](/factions/factions) page.
{% endhint %}

### Why change factions?

There can be many reasons to change factions such as

* Alignment with your friends.&#x20;
* Specific recipe set; as they change based on in-game faction. Learn more: [Consumables](https://glhfers.gitbook.io/gigaverse/crafting-and-stations/alchemy-bench/consumables)
* Joining a less competitive [Leaderboard](https://glhfers.gitbook.io/gigaverse/in-game-trading/traveling-merchants) to make it easier to climb for medals

### Cost of switching factions

To switch factions, you need various items depending on how active/populated a faction is, you may need: Transfusers, Dung & Butterflies of certain factions, Dust or Shards of certain factions, and potentially different items in the future.

The resource cost shifts up or down based on active faction members

# Gigus Maximus

<figure><img src="/files/SGHRV1sfctJzKpoZn7ey" alt=""><figcaption><p>Gigus Maximus</p></figcaption></figure>

Gigus Maximus is the sentient AI creator of gigaverse. He is an agentic antagonist who forms, controls, and enriches several core game and story mechanics in the gigaverse. \
\
Over time he will also orchestrate a social layer and metagame for players. Though he will be highly entertaining and persuasive, his intentions will vary and you are advised to exercise caution.\
\
Gigus watches the behaviours and performance of all players from the moment they enter the game. This includes: play consistency, play performance, item trading, and more.\
\
More information about Gigus, his intentions and his mechanics shall be revealed over time.&#x20;

<table data-header-hidden data-full-width="true"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th data-hidden></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td></td><td></td><td></td></tr></tbody></table>

# Auctioneer

The Auctioneer began his life executing the auctions for Special Characters - 1/1 GLHFers. He has so far, conducted 27 auctions, raising in excess of 100 ETH. \
\
You can now find him in Gigaverse, where he is currently staffing the [Gigamarket](/in-game-trading/gigamarket).&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/mwBauZCTE4o5w9ul4gLY" alt="" width="563"><figcaption><p>Auctioneer</p></figcaption></figure>

### Corruption&#x20;

The Auctioneer became corrupted by The Devil, the second Special Character that he auctioned. This corruption causes him to behave erratically.

### Sweep & Burn&#x20;

The Auctioneer's erratic behaviour includes an obssession with using auction proceeds to sweep & burn the floor of the [GLHFers](/nft-collections/glhfers) collection. So far he has swept & burned 300 NFTs, almost 10% of the collection's supply.&#x20;

### Future Auctions

There are over 100 remaining auctions for 1/1 GLHFers. These will happen very slowly over time. No date has been scheduled for the next batch of auctions. \
\
Aside from the remaining supply of GLHFers, it is possible that in the future the Auctioneer will play a role in the future of the Gigaverse economy. <br>

# Fair Play Rules

**Fair Play Rules v1**

We never want Gigaverse “to be about rules”, but at the same time we have a responsibility to the community at large to have some basics in place to ensure your experience in & around the game is good, and fair.

### Strictly Prohibited:

1. Technical & non-technical exploits: client hacking, ddos attacking, double spending, smart contract exploits, and any other similar exploits or attempted exploits. Use or abuse of any game bugs with the intent of progressing further than fairly intended, unfairly attaining additional items, items beyond your skill level, or similar.
2. Scams, social engineering and social exploits: phishing, scamming other players into unintentionally giving away private keys, resources, or other game assets.

**Gigaverse reserves the right to retroactively update this prohibited list and/or take action on behaviors that harm the integrity of the game or community, even if not currently covered here.**

### Consequences:

If our investigation determines any prohibited actions have taken place, or so have other similar levels of exploitation, penalties may apply even if specific behaviors were not previously explicit.\
\
Consequences may include: rewards ineligibility, disabled or debuffed game actions, account banning, or other actions as deemed necessary.&#x20;

**We will acknowledge players who responsibly disclose any exploits to the Gigaverse team.**

### Allowed:

1. Multiaccounting: you may create & play the game on more than one single account.
2. Bots & automation: you may create tools & bots, or leverage AI agents, to assist in playing the game for you.

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>How do the auctions work, how many are left?</strong></summary>

➜ Over 100 actions remain. They will take place very slowly over time - potentially years. Funds raised from auctions go to the Auctioneer, who's primary use for them is to sweep & burn the floor of the GLHFers collection.
